The Mountain Ops team has continued its hard work, installing the high-efficiency snowmaking system throughout one of the rainiest summers on record. Even with the challenges, the team's determination has allowed the project to stay on track. 120 acres of new skiable terrain have been cut, concrete bases poured for the new high-speed lift – The Bucksaw Express, 246 high-efficiency HKD snow guns and over 88,000’ of snowmaking pipe are being installed. - Update: Capital Projects Progress as of 4/18/23
The first phase of Sugarloaf’s West Mountain Development is underway with logging progress on 12 new ski trails and first neighborhood of 20 single-family lots. - Update: Capital Projects Progress as of 10/26/22

In preparation for winter, progress continues around the mountain. Construction of the new T-bar on Competition Hill is currently underway, and the completion of a new booster pump house located near Bullwinkles will allow for an increased number of snow guns to run simultaneously. Learn more here.
